DAWN INETT

Dawn has always been “owned” by dogs and her Canine CV shows the successes she has attained in the dog show world. Dawn has judged at many UK shows including Crufts in 2022. She has also judged internationally and won her class at the British Dog Grooming Championships 2014. Dawn's dogs are quite impressive too, having won Best of Breed at Crufts!

The Dog House, Worcester was started by Dawn back in 2006. Previously, Dawn worked as a Legal Secretary, Mental Health Development Officer and Area Manager for a National Charity but none of these jobs gave Dawn as much fulfilment as she sought, so she left full time work and started on the road to running her own successful business!

Dawn specialises in hand stripping, supports our team to develop their skills and also teaches students. She grooms many dogs from all over the UK. These are a variety of breeds including Irish terriers, setters, griffons and airedales to name a few!

Dawn also co-owns the Carradine kennel of Cairn Terriers and runs Carradine - a small company specialising in hand stripping and training dog show judges of the future! Dawn also runs regular dog show training class too! To find out more visit kennelcarradine.co.uk.

LYSH

Lysh joined us in 2021 as a grooming student. We were really impressed with her grooming skills and way with the dogs, so when she had completed her training, we asked her if she'd like to stay on with us. The answer was yes and she's now a full time member of the grooming team!

ALEX

Alex joined us for work experience whilst at college, and his hard work, dedication and love of dogs secured him a job as a Centre Assistant. He can be found greeting clients at reception, looking after and walking daycare dogs and even washing and drying in the salon!

Out of work, Alex has a Cairn Terrier called Casper and 2 mischievous Chinchillas!

ABBY

Abby started working at The Dog House as a dog washer! This quickly led to her getting involved with the care of the daycare visitors, and then deciding that she'd like to complete her grooming qualifications with us. She's now fully qualified and enjoying her new career!

RACHEL

Rachel joined our Grooming Training School in 2019 and never left! Rachel mainly works behind the scenes keeping our social media channels and website up to date. She can also be found looking after Cairns at home whilst Dawn is out on show days! She has a horse called Gilly. He's an ex-racehorse who's now enjoying his new life learning how to be an eventer.

LINDA

Linda is 55 years old and joined the team in 2021. Linda's main role is looking after Dawn's Cairn Terriers, but can still be spotted at our centre! At home Linda has a rescue dog, Diamond, who she loves to take on long walks.

DORINDA

Dogs have always been an integral part of my life. Growing up in the greater Los Angeles area, my childhood dogs were all rescues from the streets. After completing my university studies, I settled in Massachusetts, USA, where I promptly rescued Nimbus, who became my constant companion.

My journey with purebred dogs began with the Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen (PBGV). I started showing my PBGVs, and they performed exceptionally well in the show ring. It was at these dog shows that I first discovered Norwich Terriers. I owned several Norwich Terriers in the USA before moving to the UK for work. Unable to leave my beloved Norwich Terrier behind, Cooper came along with me.

In the UK, I met Dawn, the Director of The Dog House Worcester, after showing my veteran Norwich Terrier, Bailey, at a Championship dog show. Upon retiring, I needed to relocate from the expensive city of London, so I moved to Worcester with my three Norwich Terriers. At The Dog House, I now walk day-care dogs and keep the small shop stocked with all things dog-related.
